Once you click the “Submit" button, you should see a "Thank you" page on your internet browser.   This page confirms that your recipe has been received and submitted into a review process to ensure that it complies with the Official Rules.   Please note that while your recipe is undergoing review, it is not yet considered a valid entry into the contest.

Once your recipe is reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address you supplied on the registration form.  If your recipe complies with the Official Rules, this confirmation email will state that your submission has been accepted as an approved entry into the contest.   If your recipe is not accepted as an approved entry, the email will detail the reasons why your recipe was declined.

Only your first five approved submissions are accepted into the contest.   If you have fewer than five approved and you received a rejection email, fix what is wrong and resubmit it.    Once submitted, it will go through the approval process again.   If it is approved, it will be counted as another approved submission.

You can submit as many as you want, but only your first five approved recipes will be accepted for judging.

Your recipe must be uploaded and registered online by 11:59:59PM ET on August 31, 2015. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 31, 2015 and received by September 2, 2015.

You will receive a rejection email stating that your recipe was more than 500 words.  Your recipe must be 500 words or less to be compliant with the Official Rules.

Yes.  Pick one person to enter, agree to the rules and accept the prize on the group's behalf.

Finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges based on the recipe's originality (33.3%), perceived taste appeal (33.3%) and perceived paring with Sonoma Brut (33.3%).

Regional and National Finalists will be notified by telephone, email or registered mail according to the following schedule.

REGIONAL SEMI-FINALS
New York, NY on or about September 2, 2015
San Francisco, CA on or about September 2, 2015

NATIONAL FINALS
Sonoma, CA on or about September 14, 2015 (New York) and on or about September 21, 2015 (San Francisco).

Ten (10) Semi-Finalist Prizes:
Each Semi-Finalist will receive one (1) $100 pre-paid debit card for required appetizer ingredients.

If Semi-Finalist lives within 200 miles from Regional Cook-Off city, Semi-Finalist will be required to provide their own ground transportation to and from the event and will receive one (1) $200 pre-paid debit card for fuel and toll expenses.

If Semi-Finalist lives more than 200 miles from Regional Cook-Off city, Semi-Finalist will receive economy-class airfare for two (2) between Semi-Finalist's home and the event city and (1) night hotel accommodations (1 room, double occupancy).

Four (4) National Finalist Prizes:
Each National Finalist will receive one (1) $100 pre-paid debit card for required appetizer ingredients.

If Finalist lives within 200 miles from Sonoma, CA, Finalist will be required to provide their own ground transportation to and from the event and will receive one (1) $200 pre-paid debit card for fuel and toll expenses.

If Finalist lives more than 200 miles from Sonoma, CA, Finalist will receive economy-class airfare for two (2) between winner's home and Northern California and (1) night hotel accommodations (1 room, double occupancy).

One (1) Grand-Prize Winner:
The Grand-Prize Winner will receive $5,000 cash. Prize will be awarded as a check payable to the winner.
